What is an IP lookup?
An IP lookup checks an IPv4 or IPv6 address to reveal information such as its approximate geographic location, the network operator (ISP/ASN) behind it, and whether it likely belongs to a VPN, proxy or datacenter. It is useful for troubleshooting, fraud checks, analytics and simply understanding where a connection comes from.
What you can learn
- Location: country, region and city associated with the address, plus coordinates on the map.
- Network: the organization and ASN that own or route the IP range.
- Privacy signals: whether the IP appears to be a VPN/proxy/datacenter address.
How to use it
- Your current IP is loaded automatically.
- Paste any IP address in the search box and press Lookup.
- Read the details panel or explore the map marker.
Accuracy & privacy
IP geolocation is approximate by design: cities can be wrong by tens of kilometres, and VPN or mobile networks may show the exit location instead. We do not store the addresses you search. See our Privacy Policy for details.
